Everything The Y does is in service of building a stronger Atlanta - and 100% of every gift to The Y is directly invested into our community. So much more than a gym and swim, The Y develops and provides vital programs and services for ALL people regardless of ability to pay. Hunger relief takes the form of a brown bag lunch for kiddos who live in food insecure homes. While on school breaks many students in our county, who normally receive free/reduced lunches while in school, stay home with limited access to healthy food or snacks during the day. The Y takes a nutritious midday meal, and healthy outdoor activity provided by engaged volunteers.

At the YMCA, we believe that water safety is a critical life skill, and we are committed to ensuring that all people, especially children, receive the education and skills they need to prevent drowning. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, every day, an average of ten people die from unintentional drowning. Of these, two are children 14 years of age or younger. Studies show that children from under-served communities are five times more likely to drown than their peers. As the largest provider of health and wellness programs to children and adults across metro Atlanta, and with the support and research of a national organization, the YMCA gives children, regardless of zip code, background, or ability to pay the tools to enjoy safe experiences around water.

Welcome to the Empty Stocking Fund's Holiday Gift Registration where we're bringing the Holiday Spirit to disadvantaged kids! We believe that EVERY child deserves to have joy-filled, magical, holiday memories! Parents or legal guardians of metro area children who are receiving any form of public assistance are able to receive FREE holiday gifts for their children. Unlike many nonprofits that distribute holiday gifts to disadvantaged children, ESF allows parents to choose toys and gifts to give their children. Parents give the gifts however and whenever they choose. For decades, parents were invited to come to Santa’s Village, our toy and gift store, to shop for their children's gifts. In an effort to keep our staff, volunteers and the families we serve safe during the pandemic, Santa’s Village has gone digital! Now parents can register their children, upload proof of benefits, and shop online from any web-enabled device. Orders will be picked and packed at our warehouse facility in SE Atlanta. Parents can pick up gifts at the ESF warehouse or at one of our distribution partner’s events. It takes a village, and ESF wants to be part of yours!
