  • Organization Description:

Since 2004, Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue has been working to reduce the number of animals euthanized at local shelters in metro Atlanta. We work closely with animal control officers to save adoptable dogs that are often moments away from being put to sleep. Often, these dogs are sick and injured and require rehabilitation. Mostly Mutts provides housing, health care, training, and physical and emotional care to them until they can be placed in a new home.

Shelter volunteer

Volunteer opportunities available: Reception: Greeter duties in the reception area of the shelter, perfect for friendly folk who like interacting with the public. Adoption Help: Adoptions completed at the shelter put our mutts and kitties into new homes. We need volunteers willing to train as shelter Adoption Interviewers and Counselors...these volunteers work with applicants and complete adoption papers....and then watch happily as the dogs and cats go to their new homes. Clerical & Office Work: Paperwork, data entry, etc., for detail-oriented folk and those who prefer “behind the scenes” work at the shelter. Please check out our GET INVOLVED tab at our website for even more opportunities! https://www.mostlymutts.org/get-involved/center-shift-volunteers#
