    The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art is the only Metropolitan-Atlanta fine arts museum focusing on American Art. Our permanent collection houses a variety of artworks dating from as early as the 18th century to the present. The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building community through art. The museum hosts a variety of events, activities, and educational opportunities throughout the year. The MCMA holds Chalktoberfest, the annual chalk art festival in Marietta Square.

The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art is proud to present Chalktoberfest, an exciting combination of our annual Chalk Art Festival with our Craft Beer Festival. Enjoy your afternoon sampling craft beers, live music from local artists, watching professional Chalk Artists chalk the streets and eating great food at the beautiful downtown square of Marietta. A great day out for all the family, the Chalk Fest is free to attend. All proceeds go to the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art.

Chalktoberfest 2019

Marietta Cobb Museum of Art will be hosting the annual Chalktoberfest October 12 & 13. A vibrant chalk ark festival in Marietta Square with exciting events running though out the weekend, including: 86 Professional Chalk Artists – from 5 countries Saturday Craft Beer Festival Live Music on the Band Stand (all day, both days) Children’s Bounce Houses, etc. (both days) Vendor Booths Retail Beer Trucks and Food Trucks Competition Chalk – non-professionals, schools, kids of all ages (Sunday), Creative Kids Crafting Zone (Sunday) Volunteer Needs / Shift times are below: Friday, October 11 – Artist Block Assistance, Vendor Move-In, General Prep 1:00pm – 8:30pm No Set Shift Times – Let me know when you are available – and you will be placed as needed. Saturday, October 12 – Main CHALK FESTIVAL Volunteers: 6:30am – 10:00am – Set Up Crews and Vendor Move-In Crews 10:00 - 1:30 1:00 - 3:30 3:00 - 6:00 6:00 – 8:00 break down, clean up, prep for next day Saturday, October 12 – CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL Volunteers: 11:00-3:00 FULL 2:30-6:00 If you can stay the whole day, we’d love to have you! MUST be 21 years or older and have a valid photo id. IF you are 18-20 years and have a current pouring license, you may volunteer but you must provide MCMA with a copy of your pouring license. You will receive a wristband to sample beer IF you are 21 years or older. Sunday, October 13 – CHALK FESTIVAL Volunteers: 8:00 – 10:30 – Set Up Crews 10:00 – 1:30 1:00 – 3:30 3:00 – 5:30 5:00 – 8:30 – Vendor Move-Out Crews and General Take Down Crews We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your shift to report in at the MCMA lobby and get/change into your Chalktoberfest T-Shirt (which you get to keep). We cannot host this event without our volunteers! Please contact me via email or phone if you are able to volunteer for any of the shifts above.
