Our no cost Care Partners’ Conference offers help, hope, inspiration and dementia education for tired, isolated, often forgotten families facing Alzheimer’s or a related dementia. Family and professional caregivers alike, are welcome. Renowned dementia educators share dementia knowledge and offer encouragement. A panel hosted by our speakers, along with additional dementia advocates provide answers to questions from our caregivers. Lunch is provided volunteers from our church and other partner churches.

Free workshop providing guidance and resources to help other organizations serve families facing dementia. An Action Plan is provided by dementia educators, caregivers and persons who live with dementia. They offer dementia knowledge, resources, and encouragement to leaders who seek to better serve. This free two-hour workshop is presented by Sheila Welch, a Certified Teepa Snow Positive Approach to Care Trainer. Topics vary among the following: Normal Aging/Not Normal Aging;, a discussion of exactly what normal aging looks like and what not normal aging looks like; Gems, Teepa Snows unique description of the stages of dementia; and Positive Physical Approach, a presentation of Teepa Snow’s kind and loving method of approaching and communicating with a person living with dementia and why. This free two-hour seminar is provided by the eldercare attorney recommended each year by our caregivers. He/she speaks to one of the greatest concerns of a family facing dementia - how to pay for care. The attorney guides our caregivers through the maze of Medicaid, Medicare, and more. This group offers free resources, encouragement and dementia education for those loving a family member or friend through Alzheimer's or other related dementias. It meets the first Sunday morning of each month. 9:30–10:45 AM. Location: Daily Grind Coffee shop. 3960 Eliza Trace, Marietta, NW

This group offers free resources, encouragement and dementia education for those loving a family member or friend through Alzheimer's or other related dementias. It meets the fourth Thursday of each month. 7:00-9:00 P.M. Location: 870 Cross Fire Ridge, Marietta. Supper is provided every other month.

This group offers free resources, encouragement and dementia education for those who are loving a husband or wife through Alzheimer's or other related dementias.
