Cam and Madi's Promise, Incorporated

Smyrna, GA

Cam and Madi's Promise, Incorporated (C.A.M.P) exists to advocate for the growing number of families with developmentally disabled, or medically fragile children requiring necessary, costly medical care they would not otherwise be able to afford without a Medicaid waiver. C.A.M.P seeks to reduce the financial burden of these families by providing free application assistance to them when applying for the TEFRA Katie Beckett and/or New Options & Comprehensive (NOW/COMP) Medicaid waivers.

Financial Needs

C.A.M.P On the Green

This is is an initiative to support Cobb County Special Needs families with financial assistance for the successful completion of their disabled children's Medicaid waiver applications. It will provide $300 awards to 25 Cobb County Special Needs families to pay for psychological evaluations, medical evaluations and copies of children's medical records that are required for submission with their children's Medicaid waiver applications. Many families can't afford the costs of these documents so they don't apply for the waivers.

Community Special Needs Resource Fair

CAMP is hosting its first Community Resource Fair for Special Needs Families. The actual event is from 3pm to 7pm but we are requesting volunteers to be available from 12pm to 8pm to help set up and clean up afterwards. We anticipate 40-50 exhibitors and 200 attendees. This is a family affair so we will need volunteers to help direct families throughout the event, hand out snacks and catered boxes to exhibitors and attendees and attend to areas such as the sign in tables, kiddie play station, etc.
