All Programs

In 2015, the Cobb Community Foundation and Cobb County created a partnership to encourage the creation of new programs and the expansion of existing ones which impact quality of life in Cobb County. Cobb Community Foundation administered the competitive grant process and the County provided the funding for the grants. Rather than being dependent on what dollars the County may provide, we now provide a way where businesses, families, and individuals can come together to ensure that Cobb Communities Impact Grants will continue to be available, both now and into the future.

A Giving Fund (also known as a “Donor-Advised Fund”) is a charitable account set up by a donor and administered by a public charity. With a Giving Fund, you can contribute to your fund and receive a tax deduction when it's most convenient for you, then GRANT to the causes you care about when you are ready. In the meantime, your contributions to your fund are able to GROW, giving you the ability to make even more of an impact.

In addition to Donor-Advised Funds, Cobb Community Foundation also offers Scholarship Funds, Designated Funds, Field of Interest Funds, and Unrestricted Funds. We work with you to create the fund that makes the difference you want to make.

Some of Cobb County’s most well-respected non-profits have established Agency Funds with Cobb Community Foundation. Here are just a few of the reasons. Cost-effective, professional asset management overseen by our Investment Committee A mechanism for handling complex contributions An online contribution facility for donors without the administrative headaches The credibility gained by an association with Cobb Community Foundation An endowed Agency Fund assures donors that your organization has access to a steady stream of resources that is managed to be available in perpetuity. With a non-endowed fund, you can request and receive up to 100% of your fund’s assets at any time. Some organizations use this type of fund to park or invest their reserves, for a planned future need, for a rainy day or simply for long-term growth.

In support of our mission, Cobb Community Foundation has created a searchable, mappable, online directory of non-profit organizations serving Cobb County. The Connection includes program information, volunteer and other giving opportunities, and is searchable by cause area, population served and other helpful criteria. The online tool is free to all and is available online at cobbcommunityconnection.org.
