Cobb Landmarks has succeeded in preserving and protecting some of metro Atlanta’s most historically relevant buildings and sites. Preserving links to the past strengthens the sense of community we all share. Historic sites and buildings help educate people about history, and the preservation of historic buildings creates jobs, brings in tourist dollars, and revitalizes local business districts and residential neighborhoods. Cobb Landmarks also provides engaging programs and activities that reach thousands of preservationists, tourists, teachers, college students, and school-age children. Many of these programs are centered on the organization’s two historic properties, the William Root House Museum and Garden and the Power Cabin. ​
