Part 1: the purpose of the organization is to connect women and children who are staying or living in the motels on delk road (marietta georgia) to the resources in the area which they May be unaware of. The organization served over 1,800 unique individuals in 2021.

    Volunteers are needed to prepare food and to show our guests the Father’s love. By showing them His love through genuine interactions, telling them that their lives do matter and that He has a plan and purpose for them, some of those we serve will take steps toward healing and restoration. The goal is to bring about transformation one life at a time. By showing God’s love in action, we believe that The Table on Delk will be an on ramp to other rescue ministries such as Out of Darkness. If we can facilitate a rescue of just one person and see that person come to live the life God intended for them, we know there will be a future generation transformed. We also believe that The Table on Delk can play a role, along with other ministries, to end sexual exploitation in Atlanta.

Volunteers Needed for Outreach

Due to COVID-19, The Table is modifying the way we serve the women and children in motels on Delk Road. Volunteers will continue to do Outreach on Wednesdays and Saturdays - praying with our guests in the motels and inviting them back for a take-out meal that is being generously provided Operation Meal Plan, created by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Cobb Community Foundation and the Center for Family Resources. Volunteers are needed from 10:30am-3:30pm for these Outreaches.

Volunteers for Lunch Bag Program

To meet the additional needs of the children we serve, we have come alongside Marietta City Schools and are distributing sack lunches Monday-Friday afternoons. We are calling this outreach Psalm 34:8 - ""Taste and see that the Lord is good."" We need assistance in both preparing and handing out these bags. The pre-assembled bags should be delivered to The Table between 1:00-1:45pm. We need 60 each day (300 each week). We also need volunteers to hand out the bags between 2:00-4:00pm each afternoon. The decorated lunch bags should contain: a cheese or peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a bag of chips, a granola/cereal bar, a fruit cup/applesauce, fruit snacks/gummies, and a juice box.
