Each month, we mail a developmentally appropriate book to children, birth to five, registered in our program. These books are selected annually by a panel of experts in the field of early child development/education. Accompanying each book is a valuable parent newsletter that reinforces the importance of developing early learning and encourages parents to read frequently with their children. It also includes links to videos that model good reading behavior, language enrichment activities and information promoting local literacy events. Additional resources to further literacy development are made available to families via the Ferst Readers website.
