Field Trips expose students to high-quality, educational performances that directly connect to Georgia Standards of Excellence and the Common Core. Because some students miss lunch due to timing of the Field Trips or based on income, expansion of the program now includes Snack Packs, which are given to every attending student.
A significant portion of our current revenue is spent on monthly preventatives dispersed to the animals of the families we assist. We would like to expand this to be able to support an additional 65 animals for no less than 3 months each at a calculated $92.00 per animal, Excess monies would be used to cover HW treatments for up to 16 dogs.

Funding for (10) monthly, live, online career workshops for widowed mothers that are in the midst of career transition. Free to Widowed mothers. Each workshop costs $450 to create, advertise, and host. Thank you for your consideraiton.
Homeless Outreach is something that we take seriously, and our team is working to make a positive impact. We provide essential care items for those who are homeless. Care bags include toiletry items, food gift card and a list of resources to help with their needs. Our goal is to provide 175 Homeless Outreach Care Bags in 2020. Each bag costs approximately $18.25.
Imagine you are a child at home with your family and there is a knock at the door. A DFCS caseworker enters your home with police in tow to remove you from your home and your belongings are put in a trash bag. As you move from foster home to foster home all you carry with you is a trash bag. Village Connection Inc. is requesting $3,325.00 to provide 175 children in DFCS's care a Foster Care LOVE bag. Funds are being requested to purchase gas cards to support families who have a financial barrier to attending and being involved in their child's treatment. The success of a client's treatment is highly dependent on the family also understanding the work at hand. Gas cards break down that barrier of paying for gas to participate in therapy and visitation. Gas cards are purchased in increments of $25.00. $200.00 would assist 8 families.
We need funding for grading, a new track for walking/running, and laying new sod and 4 sets of bleachers for spectators to cheer on our clients.
Our playground needs updating, sprucing up, and additional equipment. Our students have learning disabilities and ADHD. They need to get outside several times a day and blow off steam.
The AFTH Senior Program provides harps for lessons, and group harp music enrichment and music therapy programming to Cobb county facilities that serve senior citizens. We will provide a one month program to each site. AFTH Youth Program will provide harps and group harp music enrichment programs to 8 Cobb county after school program sites including 4 libraries, 2 Cobb county elementary schools, and 2 recreational centers. Each site will be provided with harps and all instructional materials to host a one month program per site. We just wrapped our 2020 #StrongGirls programming. We took 51 students through our social-emotional leadership development course. We are now beginning our capital campaign for 2021. Our aim is to take over 60 students through the program from January to November of 2021.
